AQUALINER® FRESH
The first antimicrobial tank liner in the world, our exclusive five-layer AQUALINER® Fresh keeps your water fresher for longer with embedded Sanitized® Silver technology. With a life expectancy of 65 years, the AQUALINER® Fresh is designed to fit the Pioneer Water Tank to prevent contamination.
GEOTEXTILE UNDERLAY
Our geotextile underlay is the ideal way to protect your AQUALINER® Fresh from being compromised by sharp objects that may be caught inside your water tank.
SUPER SEAL
Reduce the number of contaminants to protect your precious water supply with Pioneer Water Tanks’ high-density foam sealer.
SACRIFICIAL ANODES
Our sacrificial magnesium anodes significantly extend the life of your water tank by protecting the tank from corrosion. Made from magnesium, the anodes erode in place of the water tank, thereby protecting the steel and allowing the tank to last longer than other systems. Pioneer Water Tanks recommend your anodes be replaced every 10 years so you can enjoy the benefits of your tank for life.
6-INCH DIAMETER OVERFLOW
Pioneer Water Tanks provides a 6” diameter overflow downpipe, the largest overflow system on the market. The overflow size moves excess water away from the tank quickly to effectively reduce pressure on your tank and avoid costly damage to your tank components.
The 20,000-Gallon Pioneer Water Tank is approved for residential and commercial water storage needs. The 20,000-Gallon standard model water tank is ready for onsite delivery and installation within two weeks.

We also know how important it is that your water tank has been designed and built to suit the harsh environments. Pioneer Water Tanks are engineered to NFPA standards for water storage for fire protection. The tank body and roof are made of Zincalume® Steel, which is proven to withstand fire immersion. The tank’s firefighting adapters and nozzles are compatible with fire hoses across North America.
Pioneer Water Tanks can be configured for cyclonic and seismic conditions, as well as heavy industrial zones. Additional accessories are available for different compliance needs. Outfit your tank with anti-vortex fittings and firefighting adapters for quick access during a fire emergency.

WATER LEVEL INDICATORS
See the amount of water that you have in store at a glance with a water level indicator attached to the exterior of your tank. Choose between the traditional float and pulley system or a wireless system in a range of colors.
BRASS OUTLET AND VALVE
We recommend switching to a brass outlet and valve if using the Pioneer Water Tank for fire protection. This eliminates any plastic fittings from the exterior walls of the tank.
FASCIA STRIP
Clients that are concerned about the potential for sharp roof edges or want to achieve a sleeker, more modern look to their tank can purchase a custom designed fascia strip. Our fascia strip covers come in a range of sizes, colors and designs.
WORLD-FIRST ANTIMICROBIAL WATER TANK LINER
The multi-generational AQUALINER® Fresh fabric has been a mainstay of the Pioneer Water Tanks 30-year success story and legendary water-holding performance. The new fabric retains the Globally Patented Multi-layered PP/PE textile with a spun-woven multifilament polypropylene (PP) scrim construction (WO 2007/070917).
The use of antimicrobial protection in a tank liner is the world’s first use of this technology in this application, and our Australian manufacturer of the fabric has applied for an additional Patent to protect this innovation. The patent application has been accepted and its current status is “Patent Pending 2017902908”.

The AQUALINER® Fresh is manufactured utilizing a patented three-layer process that adheres a PP Multifilament Base with a Polyethylene Film on the surface.
The PP base, PP/PE Coating, and PE Film are all bound together through a process called Extrusion Coating.
The PP Multifilament Base provides strength, flexibility, and dimensional stability.
The PE Film provides toughness, water-resistance, and heat seal characteristics.

ZINCALUME® STEEL IS TESTED AND PROVEN TO LAST LONGER
Next-generation ZINCALUME® steel AM125 introduces magnesium into the aluminum-zinc alloy coating, which improves galvanic protection by activating the aluminum. The result is more effective corrosion resistance. BlueScope Steel research and testing have found that the addition of 2% magnesium is the optimum level of corrosion performance and coating integrity. Along with a capital investment of over $100 million to facilitate the required manufacturing capability, BlueScope Steel can now produce next-generation ZINCALUME® steel AM125 with even greater durability and a more efficient protective coating mass.

Pioneer Water Tanks Foundations
The foundation for Pioneer Water Tanks depends on the location and application of the water storage project. Pioneer Water Tanks may have the option to sit on a clean sand pad base or may be required to be anchored to a concrete ring beam depending on the local authority.
This short video shows a concrete ring beam being installed for a 51,785-Gallon Pioneer Water Tank in Nothern California.
The ring beam drawings specify the size, number and spacing of the reinforcing bars and ligatures to be used as well as the MPA rating for the concrete. Ring beams should be as level as possible and have no more than +/- 1/16” over any 5’0” (+/- 2mm over any 2m) of the circumference at the tank wall position and +/- 1/8” (+/- 4mm) over the entire ring beam. A survey chart will need to be completed and returned to your local installer for approval before the construction is started.
The local Pioneer Water Tanks installer needs to ensure that foundation conditions are adequate. All water storage systems are subject to the local authority requirements so Pioneer Water Tanks also recommends local installers adhere to that authority for the tank location.
