Title: Using Rainwater for Fire Protection, with Regards to NFPA 13 A.23.21
Description: Rainwater has become a sustainable water source for many applications. NFPA 13 A.23.21 stipulates that recycled or reclaimed water that has been properly analyzed for quality, is adequate for fire protection use. We will present successful past projects and general steps to implementing rainwater for fire protection.

Texas Hempstalk 2019 will be at Jester King Brewery on March 16th, starting at 12:00 PM.
Hempstalk will focus on education information on cultivating hemp. Harvested Rain Solutions, HarvestedRainSolutions.com, will be there to talk about rainwater harvesting and the beneficial use of rainwater for hemp cultivation.
Harvested Rain Solutions was founded in 2008 to make better use of the tens of thousands of gallons of water that run off roofs every year in the Austin area. Rainwater harvesting is a solution to water shortages that originates literally right over our heads!
The Texas Ground Water Association (TGWA) 2019 Annual Convention and Trade Show will be held at the San Marcos Hotel & Conference Center in San Marcos, Texas on January 23-25, 2019. In addition to the Trade Show, the convention includes seminars, business meetings, continuing education programs, an auction to benefit our scholarship program, spouse activities, an awards luncheon, a golf tournament, and an evening of nine-pin bowling at Freiheit Bowling Club on Thursday evening.
As in the past, TGWA will make a request to the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) to approve one (1) hour of C.E. credit for those licensees who view the exhibits during the Trade Show.
The Board of Directors has planned the following program format:
– Wednesday, January 23, 2019, “Meet and Greet with Exhibitors” from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., followed by the Scholarship Auction. – Thursday, January 24, 2019, exhibits open from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and then from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. An awards program and luncheon are planned from 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. with continuing education classes to follow in the afternoon from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Friday, January 25, 2019, there will be more continuing education classes in the morning from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Wimberley VFW Rodeo is a Pro/Open event sanctioned by the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Assn. (CPRA), sponsored by Oldham-Cummings Post 6441, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Wimberley, Texas. Proceeds are used to support Veterans and a variety of community activities and organizations. The Rodeo Producer is Bo Davis of Gonzales, Texas, and the stock contractor is the Cadillac Rodeo Company.
Gates open at 5:30. 1st Mutton Bustin’ at 7:00; Rodeo begins at 8 p.m.
2 calf scrambles nightly. One for ages 5-8 and another for ages 9-12
Free fireworks show nightly after the rodeo performance (weather permitting).

Famed bull-fighter, clown and barrel man Leon Coffee will be featured at each event
Mutton Bustin’ registration outside the VFW Hall at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $20 per ride; 60lb. max rider weight. Riders compete for the Ellen Allen Memorial trophy
Tickets At the Gate: Adults – $15; Children 12 & under $10.
Advance Ticket Sales: Adults-$12; Children 12 & under $7. May be purchased at the VFW Hall July 1st, 2nd, & 3rd from noon to 6 p.m. Cash, check, or major credit cards. On those days tickets may also be purchased by phone (512-847-6441). .Limited box seat tickets may be available ($25) on advance ticket purchase days.
General admission parking $5 per vehicle at the gate.
