WaterMark H2O are accredited suppliers of Pioneer Water Tanks, the longest-lasting BPA-free water storage tank on the market. WaterMark H2O provides complete project management including design and installation services.

Watermark Rainwater Harvesting provided this water system for a private home on the edge of a wildlife preserve. Located near Atascadero, the water system is permitted with the San Luis Obispo County. The XL 13/02 Pioneer Water Tank is used for domestic water storage and fire suppression reserve.

The fire suppression tank implements a Wharf hydrant with fire connections that connect to the fire sprinkler system in the house. A water well supplies for the water system.

Watermark H2O Rainwater Harvesting designed and installed an XLE 30/02 Pioneer Water Tank for the Lago Giuseppe Winery. This fire protection system includes a fire hose adapter and firefighting nozzles, in case of emergencies.

The water storage was needed for fire flow and satisfied the County of San Luis Obispo fire protection requirements. The system was installed in March 2016 with a 40,000 gallon effective capacity for fire protection.

Watermark H2O Rainwater Harvesting designed and installed an XLE 50/03 Pioneer Water Tank for a commercial property. This fire protection system was required by Santa Cruz County for fire flow.

The commercial fire protection system was installed onsite with a proprietary jacking system. The system was installed in October 2018 with a 100,000-gallon effective capacity for fire protection.

Dual Use Water Tanks

Pioneer Water Tanks are approved for use in California for fire protection and drinking water storage. Combining several uses into one dual-use water tank saves money as compared to buying two separate water storage systems. Our standpipe or external fitting options diverts the additional water supply to ensure that it doesn’t affect the required mandated usable water capacity for fire protection. We offer commercial accessory options to comply with local requirements.

The result is more effective corrosion resistance. BlueScope Steel research and testing have found that the addition of 2% magnesium is the optimum level of corrosion performance and coating integrity. Along with a capital investment of over $100 million to facilitate the required manufacturing capability, BlueScope Steel can now produce next-generation ZINCALUME® steel AM125 with even greater durability and a more efficient protective coating mass.

To ensure the durability and reputation of next-generation ZINCALUME® steel, BlueScope Steel conducted a comprehensive testing program that included a series of accelerated laboratory corrosion tests as well as a strong emphasis on real-world outdoor exposure tests. A thorough and rigorous testing program ensured that the new product provided optimum performance.

    CEMENT RING BEAM SITE PREPARATION

Concrete ring beams are used for commercial and some rural and light industrial water tanks to support the wall and also to hold the tank down during storms and cyclones. Ring beams may also be specified for tanks that are to be constructed on aggressive, acidic soils or where there is a risk of water or wind erosion of the foundation materials.

Each model of Pioneer Water Tank has an exact cement ring beam dimensions and details that are outlined in our engineering packages. At the time of your order, a specific ring beam drawing will be issued for the project requirements. It’s recommended that there is strict adherence to these specifications for the best performance of the tank.
