Fire Reserve
This is a volume of water that is always readily available in the event of fighting fire. Commonly this can be up to 5,000 gallons.
Irrigation
When looking to irrigate, factors such as water source, harvesting capacity, and usage volume will all need to be considered.
Water Source
Harvesting water from a roof, filling up from a bore or dam will impact the size of water storage tank that will be most optimal for you.
Rainwater Harvesting
The size of your roof catchment area, in addition to your annual rainfall will determine how much water you can harvest.
Domestic Usage
Having an idea of what domestic functions you intend to connect to your tank and how often each will be used will be advantageous.

Sacrificial Anodes
Our sacrificial magnesium anodes significantly extend the life of your water tank by protecting the tank from corrosion. Made from magnesium, the anodes erode in place of the water tank, thereby protecting the steel and allowing the tank to last longer than other systems.
Pioneer Water Tanks recommend your anodes be replaced every 10 years so you can enjoy the benefits of your tank for life.
6-Inch Diameter Overflow
Pioneer Water Tanks provides a 6” diameter overflow downpipe, the largest overflow system on the market. The overflow size moves excess water away from the tank quickly to effectively reduce pressure on your tank and avoid costly damage to your tank components.

Next-generation ZINCALUME® steel AM125 introduces magnesium into the aluminum-zinc alloy coating, which improves galvanic protection by activating the aluminum. The result is more effective corrosion resistance.

World-First Antimicrobial Tank Liner
Our AQUALINER Fresh® uses a patented antimicrobial technology (Sanitized®) that uses a silver-iron film on the water side of the liner to dramatically inhibit the build-up of mold, algae, mildew and biofilm. This ensures better water quality that lasts the life of the tank.
Sanitized® technology complies with the strictest international health guidelines and has been through rigorous international testing. In fact, AQUALINER Fresh® is certified to the NSF/ANSI 61 standard.
Pioneer has used the same liner manufacturer for 35 years. The current multi-layered product has been successfully holding water for over 21 years. Pioneer liner fabric is a unique blend of Polyethylene and Polypropylene giving a combination of food grade quality and additional tensile strength.
Once the liner goes in, it does not deteriorate and will outlast the structure. Our liners are double welded on each join, top and bottom, and come with additional wall connection tabs for liner support when the tank is empty or low.
