The County of Napa contracts with the California Department of Forestry (CAL FIRE) for fire protection services as the Napa County Fire Department with each district having a fire marshal and inspectors for permitting and inspections for fire protection.
New buildings are required to have fire sprinkler systems installed, according to the Napa County fire and building codes. If fire flow is not achieved with the providing water supply, additional water storage may be needed for fire code compliance.
