Water Storage for Fire Protection in San Antonio

The Bexar County Building Permit Process
The Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office requires building permit applications to be filed in person by appointment only to the main office at 622 Dolorosa, San Antonio, Texas 78207.

Bexar County requires fire flow based on the 2015 International Fire Code.
Buildings without an adequate water supply for fire protection must meet capacity requirements in order to obtain a building permit with water storage.

The plumbing pipe for the separate use does not extend below the water elevation that is reserved for fire protection.
